Your love is better than life

Your love is better than life
I love you lord,
I love your Word, I love your heart.

My love for you pales in comparison to yours for me
You are, yourself,
Love.
No greater love exists,
than yours for your creation

You descended the heavenly space
To become flesh
That in you,
We may have an example.

You did this through your Son,
Your only son,
Who is, in very nature,
You.

You gave Him,
A sacrifice for me,
A representation of your love
For you so loved me
That you chose your only Son
To die in my place
That I might receive life.

For you so loved me,
That you laid down your life for me,
Who you called friend.
For you so loved me,
That you chose me,
Wretched and dark, but for your Son who died,
To be a dwelling place for your Holy Spirit.

What love!
How sweet the Father’s love for me!
